I've really been enjoying these F Street block parties lately. After Live After Five and the Summer Night Market, I'm convinced the Sundown Concert Series is going to be a blast this weekend. I know I’ll still remember these nights a few years from now.

I made it down to the Summer Night Market for opening night last Friday. The vendors, food trucks, and live music all came together really well. It reminded me how much I enjoy seeing Anchorage gather downtown during the summer. A few months ago I was browsing Florida real estate listings during a cold winter evening. This week, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

🎶 Sundown Concert Series — F St. & 6th Ave. (Fri-Sat, 6PM)
One of Anchorage's biggest concert weekends of the summer arrives downtown as the Sundown Concert Series continues with Paul Cauthen on Friday and BØRNS & STRFKR on Saturday. Two nights of live music, food vendors, and people filling downtown for a pair of block-party style shows.

🛍️ Handmade & Flea Market — Shops at the Castle (Sun, 11AM)
The Shops at the Castle kick off a new summer market series this Sunday featuring local makers, vintage finds, and one-of-a-kind treasures. If you enjoy browsing markets and seeing what turns up, this one is worth a stop.

🏄 Stand-Up Paddle Board Demo Day — Little Campbell Lake (Wed, 5PM)
Stand-up paddleboarding has become one of the more popular ways to spend a summer day on the water. Anchorage Parks & Recreation is offering free paddleboard demos at Little Campbell Lake this Wednesday, giving beginners a chance to try it without the cost of buying a board.

☕ Refuge Coffee's First Birthday Party — Refuge Coffee (Sat)
Refuge Coffee is celebrating its first birthday this Saturday with a full day of food pop-ups, local vendors, and live music. If you've been meaning to check it out or are already a regular, this is your chance to celebrate with them.

🎡 Alaska State Fair Concerts
The Alaska State Fair has officially released its full concert lineup, which means it's time to start deciding which shows you don't want to miss. A few of the bigger names include AJR, Cake, Modest Mouse, Deadmau5, Megadeth, and Nick Offerman, with concerts running throughout the fair from August 21 through September 7.

If there's a show you're set on attending, it’s worth grabbing tickets sooner than later.

One of downtown Anchorage's longtime nightlife spaces has reopened as Club Seven 21 following a major remodel.

The venue is bringing DJs, dancing, events, and a completely refreshed look to 4th Avenue.

🚵 Hilltop Bike Park — Reopening June 10
Hilltop Bike Park returns for the season on June 10, with downhill trails, progression features, and lift-served riding for all skill levels.

🚵 Alyeska Bike Park — Reopening June 13
Alyeska Bike Park kicks off its 16th summer season, with chairlift-accessed downhill trails ranging from beginner runs to technical terrain. Opening Day includes free hot dogs, music, a pop-up bar, and BOGO lift tickets.
